Traypac End Stop (Clip) Design

Disclosed is a design for an improved traypac clip as used to hold metalized ceramic substrates. The function of the clip is to provide an end stop at each end of a traypac track. The figure shows a three- view design.

Substrates sliding in track A stop against the legs B of the sheet-metal- formed clip. Recesses in the traypac allow these stop legs to be positioned outside the pin pattern, catching the ceramic at two points. This prevents damage to the pins. The length of the stop legs is such that there is clearance between the pins and any part of the clip in either the release or stop position. Actuation of the clip to its release position results from forcing clip up at C which causes the clip to rotate about D.
