Circuit Card Retention System

A circuit card retention system is disclosed which accommodates various sizes of cards.

Fig. 1 shows card holder 1. One edge 2 is stepped and grooved. The steps are the proper height to accommodate several different size cards. This embodiment also provides slots 3 to retain standard cards. Keyhole slots 4 provide for lateral adjustment and permit removal without removing retaining screws. Card holder 1 and support post 5, shown in Fig. 2, are assembled together mounted on the bottom of the card enclosure, as shown in Fig. 3, with slots 3 engaging the edges of two standard size cards 6 and 7. The position of holder 1 is adjusted laterally so that the groove in the appropriate step engages the corner of card 8. It is apparent that when top and bottom mounting screws (not shown) are in place, holder 1 clamps cards 6, 7 and 8 into sockets 9.
