Disclosed is a HAA (Head Arm Assembly) design in which a HSA (Head Suspension Assembly) is integrated with a Plastic Molded Head Arm using insert molding method.

The advantages of this design are: 1) Improvement of yaw stiffness compared with hot-staking. 2) No change of HSA mechanical resonance. 3) Improvement of throughput by getting rid of hot-staking process. 4) Reduction of distance between two disk surfaces by molding two suspension assemblies back to back

(Fig. 3). 5) Reduction of inertia of the HAA by using plastic material.
