Variable Size Window Elements

Provided is a technique to allow user sizing of system provided user interface components to overcome the difficulties of conventional windowing systems.

The technique provides the user with conventional window elements, e.g., window title bars, command bars, scroll bars, icons, etc. These elements are provided in a default system size. The user is provided with the capability of changing the size of one or all of the window elements. For example, the user can reduce or increase the size of system provided icons. Similarly, the user can change the size of all elements together.

The benefits to the end user are increased screen space to display more information or other windows.
