Pivotable Power Supply Support

Pluggable power supplies can be mounted close to their respective circuit board modules, yet facilitate convenient module or board removal by being supported on a pivotable frame.

In the figures, compartmented frame 1 carries a plurality of blade type connectors 2 to join power supplies 3 with respective bus bars 4. The bus bars are in turn connected through other blade type connectors 5 with power planes of circuit board 6 carrying circuit modules 7 and board stiffeners 8. Frame 1 is rotatable counterclockwise about pivot 9 to disengage blade connectors 5 and allow circuit board 6 or modules 7 to be removed. A power supply 3 can be removed from the frame by first disconnecting its input power and any cooling apparatus.
