Abstract

A grouper assembly cover 10 is shown in Fig. 1 which includes multiple rows of conical projections 12 which support the ends of paddle cards 20 in a grouper assembly 25. The conical projections 12 are spaced to contact the glass of the paddle cards 20 between the gold tabs 30 and are arranged in rows such that the symmetry of the paddle cards 20 in the grouper assembly 25 do not change during shipment. A lip 40 is provided on the cover 10 to snap over the sides of the grouper assembly 25 and is sized such that the conical projections 12 are guided into position between the gold tabs 30. The tolerance limits of the cover 10 provide that the conical projections 12 will not touch the tabs 30 during installation, shipping and removal.
