Enhanced Dynamic Instruction

Provided is an enhanced dynamic instruction for windowing systems which overcomes the deficiencies of conventional dynamic instructions.

An instruction is provided which is dynamic in nature, i.e., context sensitive information is provided to the user. The instruction is enhanced with the following features: The instruction contains navigation and application information, which the user can suppress as desired. The instruction is located at the user's point of reference, as opposed to a fixed location. The instruction can thus be found in the command bar, pull-downs, pop-ups, or in the base panel body depending on where the user interaction is taking place. The instruction can also be placed in a fixed location at user request.

The benefits to the end user are a dynamic instruction which is more usable than conventional implementation due to broader informational content and location.
