Transducer - Arm Assembly

An arm 1 is used to "snap in" burnish head suspension assemblies.

The arm 1 is modified double taper burnish arm which has two spring clips 3 fastened to the front surface. These locate and hold the head suspension assembly in the proper position as shown in Fig. 1 while the spring 4 and mount plate 5 hold it flush to the surface of arm 1. The mount plate 5 also assures the head is parallel. Springs 3 push the mounting plate of the head suspension assembly against the arm's mount plate leading edge.
