Cassette Spacing Fixture

Use of the illustrated device enables modification of disk spacing from 1/2 inch, to 1/4 inch and back. It is designed for use on manufacturing lines to switch disks to/from different containers.

As shown in Fig. 1, frame 2, holds two delrin spacer blocks 1, which have the angular cut v-grooves, allowing the disk 3 outside diameter to slide up and down touching only on its chamfered edge. These blocks also space the disks apart as they traverse up and down the fixture. The disks are helped up and down through the use of a mandrel 4 which can be made in a number of ways, to spear the disks through their inner diameter hole and lift them simultaneously through the fixture.
