Abstract

Disclosed is a method for card extraction from a card on board package, whereby a single action extracts a card using a lever-cam at each end of a cardholder 1. The use of concurrently actuated lever-cams 2 provides an even and consistent leverage against the cage guide rails 3 to unplug the card connector 4. This simultaneous actuation of the lever-cams is provided by a flexible, retractable handle 5 that extends and lifts the lever-cams when pulled. The handle is then used to extract the card from the cage assembly. While the card is removed, this handle provides for convenient card handling and carrying capability. When a card is replaced in the cage assembly and the connector seated the lever-cams and handle sit flush along the top of the card holder thus providing a low profile. (Image Omitted)
