Invisible Window Bar

Provided is a technique for moving windowed objects without requiring a "window bar" in order to overcome the difficulties of current window techniques.

Each window has a "window bar" to allow movement and sizing of windows. In addition, the user is provided with the capability of making the window bar invisible or transparent at user option. The user is made aware of its location by a change in the shape of the pointer. For example, the pointer shape changes to an icon different from the normal pointer shape as the pointer moves over the invisible title bar. The pointer shape indicates the object type and action type available. Scroll bars, icons for minimizing and maximizing the window, and other conventional window components are handled in a like manner.

The benefits to the user include increased screen space for showing user information, as well as reduced time spent scanning superfluous windowing information.
