Mouse Step-Size Control

Provided is a technique which allows user control of mouse-hand-screen motion and distance coordination in order to overcome the difficulties of current techniques.

The user is provided with conventional mouse techniques for coordination of mouse pointer movement based upon the movement of the physical mouse device. However, the user is also provided with the capability of an additional control function to allow the user to vary the amount of distance moved by the mouse pointer for every physical mouse movement. The control functions include: -- a system default

-- a control panel to allow user selection of screen movement based upon mouse movement -- a collection of one or more application settings -- a baseline to allow mouse pointing into 3D space

The benefits to the user include new function, enhanced productivity and usability, and more user control over the mouse function.
