Shutdown Feedback

Disclosed is a method of preventing loss of data by the premature cutting off of power at the switch.

A micro-switch (or similar electrical switch) is mounted within an embodiment of a power ON/OFF switch. The micro-switch is activated when the power ON/OFF switch is in an ON position (dependent on arrangement desired either activated or nonactivated). As the power switch begins its travel to an OFF position the micro-switch is deactivated. This deactivation is an early warning signal to electronic circuits associated with the power switch indicating that power is about to be interrupted and to save data or stop data input immediately.

This arrangement is applicable to all products which use stored data and have an ON/OFF switch or a similar device.
