Abstract

The figure illustrates a partial circle disk vacuum gripper which permits handling wet disks at the uncoated inner diameter band. The gripper comprises two partial circle vacuum rings 1, one on each end of the gripper. Vacuum is supplied to vacuum rings 1 through a hole 2 that intersects with barbed fittings 3 at the center of the tool. The tool is attached to a robot at a flange 4. Flange 4 has a key slot to ensure that the gripper is precisely positioned on the robot.
