Abstract

The figures illustrate a texture machine altered to dispense a slurry through nozzles 1 directly on to texture tape 2, thus allowing the texture slurry to distribute itself more evenly on a disk surface 3 during a texture process. This is in marked contrast to a texture machine that dispenses slurry directly on to a disk surface through nozzles that align with the centerline of the disk. Fig. 2 shows how nozzles 1 are modified by angling them toward the surface of texture tape 2.
