Abstract

A method is described to allow the user of a Scheduler Program (SP) to determine times during a week for which no appointments are scheduled. This may be used to simplify the task of determining a day for which to schedule an appointment. RELATED CONCEPTS: 1. Schedule Modes The Scheduler has three modes: Day, Week, and Month. The Day Mode allows the user to enter appointments on separate lines. The Week Mode displays the week at a glance with the first six open time ranges or first six nonblank appointments displayed. The Month Mode displays a month at a glance with a separate indicator for days that have text or a reminder set. 2. Day File A day file is contained within a month DOS file that is partitioned for up to 31 days. Each day file contains the appointments that were entered for the day in the day mode.
