Abstract

This article describes three kinds of high luminance, low smear, low flicker, white-emitting phosphor composition for a black-on-white cathode ray tube. First, the phosphor composition comprises an uniform mixture of a red emitting phosphor component of a mixture of ZnS:Au, Al and Y2O2S:Eu, a green emitting phosphor component of Zn2SiO4:Mn, As or Zn2SiO4:Mn and a blue emitting phosphor component of ZnS:Ag, wherein a mixing ratio of the red emitting phosphor and the green emitting phosphor is in the range of 1:(0.3N2.0) and the ranges of the blue emitting phosphor component is from about 5 to about 40% by weight of the composition.
