Automatic Application of Installation Data

This procedure uses an Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) table which contains the names of all the distribution members to be customized due to a new installation or change in an Information Management System Application Development Facility (IMSADF). The table can be classified by library type or searched for a specific member or members to be customized automatically by providing two types of processes: customizing by using ISPF file tailoring services. This type of customizing has logic to

dynamically select which parts of the member need

to be present for the particular environment

selected by the customer. massive customizing, which involves the same type of changes with no logic involved. This type

is carried out through ISPF edit services. As an example of the procedure, assume that the installer selects the option of Customizing selected numbers of an IMSADF library and designates a target library, JCL. A list of the members appears on the screen and the members to be customized are selected by specifiying "S" in the left column.
