Abstract

This tool will rotate to pick up and remove pins in different orientations. Gear rack 10 is driven horizontally by an air cylinder to cause (Image Omitted) rotation through gear 11 of the grippers 12 and associated housing 14. Shaft 16 is driven vertically by an air cylinder and moves independently of the housing 14 in bearings 17 to spread arms 18 normally biased closed by springs 20. Spreading of arms 18 closes grippers 12 so that they grab pins 22. The grippers move up and down when removing the pin.
