Abstract

A PC keyboard protective shield is illustrated in Figs. 1, 2, and 3. It was developed to protect a keyboard 6 from shop and lab environments where dust and other particles are present. The design consists of a unitary molded durable plastic structure which can be installed simply by snapping the C-shaped hinges 10 over the height adjustment knobs 12. No tooling is required. This is accomplished by designing the C-shaped hinge 12 to have a 3/4" snap on circle as shown on Fig. 2.
