Abstract

The article describes a bidirectional filter which allows a data terminal equipment to transmit data signals over unshielded communications media, such as telephone wires. As shown in the drawing, the filter includes a shielded conductor 10 carrying a pair of transmission wires 12 and a pair of receiving wires 14. A pair of common-mode choke circuits 16 are interconnected to each of the transmission and receiving pairs, respectively.
