Abstract

Toner residues, still adhering to drum 1 after transfer of the toner to the paper, are absorbed by felt 2. For this purpose, felt 2, resting on drum 1, is provided with several chamber rows arranged in tandem. Chambers 3 in the individual rows are staggered. The toner particles, removed by the front edge 4 of felt 2 (viewing in the direction of rotation 5 of drum 1) and edges 6 of chambers 3, are accumulated in chambers 3.
