Abstract

Many programs employ pop panels that contain both selection and key entry fields. A mechanism is described to allow the user to specify when parameter selection within a pop panel is complete. In accordance with the new mechanism, a "do" and a "quit" button are provided on each panel. The user specifies that the panel is complete and that the system should execute the associated command by selecting "do." By selecting "quit," the user instructs the system to abort the operation and reset the panel to its initial state.
