Abstract

The HCS (half-current switch) 'NOR' logic circuit shown in the Fig. offers further improvement over initial HCS [*] circuit designs. Implementation of 'up level' and 'down level' SBD (Schottky barrier diode) clamps D1 and D2 (see figure) to an appropriate reference level permits reduced voltage swings and results in improved performance (N 37%) with little or no power supply or temperature dependency.
