Abstract

A pre-adjusted clamping device is mounted on a fixture to facilitate ceramic transfers by holding a tray pack in place. The device works as described in the following. As seen in Fig. 1, a toggle clamp holder assembly 1 operates by the downward motion of a toggle handle 2, indicated by the arrow, to actuate a lever 3 which is attached to handle 2 at point 4 to pivot at point 5. This action causes lever 3 to rotate such that contact edge 6 engages the tray pack (not shown) to hold it in place. The toggle clamp 1 is mounted on a fixture (Fig. 2) which has a bar 7 which lifts up to allow the tray pack to be inserted into the fixture. After the tray pack is loaded into the fixture, the bar 7 is lowered where it rests on the tray pack. The toggle clamp is actuated, and it engages the tray pack to lock the tray pack in place.

After the tray pack is loaded into the fixture, the bar 7 is lowered where it rests on the tray pack. The toggle clamp is actuated, and it engages the tray pack to lock the tray pack in place. The tray pack contains ceramic parts which are fed into the fixture.
