Abstract

The adjustable alignment fixture can be used to provide accu- rate X-Y positioning for a variety of applications. Referring to Fig. 1, the fixture comprises two sliding plates 10, 12 mounted at one another within a square mounting block 14. Plate 10 provides X axis movement while plate 12 provides movement in the Y directio Thumbscrews 16, 18 and 20, threaded through the mounting block 14, provide limit stops for positive positioning.

Referring to the top view in Fig. 2, each of the plates 10 and 12 has an oblong hole through which a connecting rod (not shown) is positioned and aligned. The adjustable alignment fixture can be used when accurate registration between two mechanical components is desired.
