Video/Microscope Adapter

A universal adapter allows the attachment of any video camera, which uses a "C" lens, to a lens of a microscope for the purpose of video taping microscopic objects. The adapter works as described in the following.

The adapter 1 is cylindrically shaped and has a threaded protrusion 2 which screws into the threaded opening 3 of lenspiece 4 of the video camera. The adapter 1 also contains a cylindrical opening 5 to accommodate a microscope eyepiece 6 which is inserted into cylindrical opening 5. The eyepiece 6 is secured in the adapter 1 when three set-screws 7 are tightened into the eyepiece 6. The set-screws 7 are held in three threaded holes 8 on the adapter 1. The holes 8 are evenly spaced at 120ointervals on the exterior surface of adapter 1.

The adapter 1 is hollow to permit uninterrupted vision between lenspiece 4 and eyepiece 6.
