Abstract

The agitation of the process solution is a critical factor in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. The fixtures used to hold the printed circuit boards during processing may contribute to insufficient agitation. The figure shows a process basket 10 which has provisions for allowing agitation gas to pass through the basket itself. Gas is supplied through pipe 15. The gas goes through the conical connector 20 into passageway 21. Printed circuit boards 30 fit into slots 31, each of which has a connection to the manifold 21. In this way, gas enters pipe 15 and passes up through the slots that hold the printed circuit boards. The entire assembly fits into process tank 50.
