Abstract

This article describes a single-piece integrated module extraction tool having an open jaw at one end perpendicular to a handle at the other. The size of the jaw is of a size to fit the module for removal. The advantage of this extraction tool is that it can remove integrated circuit modules when the modules are in an oven environment because the removal is carried out while the extraction tool is in a substantially horizontal position.
