Abstract

A wheel 1, which is rotated by a shaft 2, has a pair of ball chains 3 extending from its circumference and diametrically disposed to each other. There could be more than two of the ball chains 3 spaced around the circumference of the wheel 1. As the wheel 1 rotates counterclockwise as indicated by arrow 4, one of the ball chains 3 engages top sheet 5 of a stack 6 of paper and is moved therealong. This causes the top sheet 5 to have a ripple effect created therein to separate the top sheet 5 from the remainder of the stack 6 of paper.
