Abstract

A ribbon cartridge 10 is provided with molded flexible finger 11 which traps ribbon 12 against post 13 to provide a frictional drag on the ribbon as it is driven from left to right by drive capstan 14. Fig. 2 shows the detail of flexible finger 11 and post 13 as the cartridge is originally molded. Fig. 3 shows the flexible finger being deformed as its end 15 is displaced past post 13. Fig. 4 shows the flexible finger 11 against post 13 in the position to receive an ink ribbon therebetween.
