Abstract

Impurities can be removed from an electroless plating bath by plating them out on dummy panels. The dummy panels should have a large surface area in order to remove a large percentage of the impurities. A potential can be applied so that while the bath generally plates electrolessly, plating on the dummy panels will be electrolytic and therefore fast.
