Abstract

For removing contamination and abrasion residue from electrode printheads used in electroerosion printers, sealing wax is employed. The liquid sealing wax is applied to the electrodes from where it is removed after cooling together with any existing contamination and abrasion residue. Those printhead parts which must not come into contact with the sealing wax may be protected by a plastic foil.
