Abstract

A technique is described whereby an air moving device (AMD) may be easily replaced by an unskilled operator. No tools are required to facilitate the replacement. The AMD 10 and mounting assembly 11, as shown in Fig. 1, are equipped with roller carrier slides 12 to facilitate servicing, enabling the AMD 10 to slide out on the roller carrier slides 12 from its storage position. After the power plug is disconnected from the power source, four fasteners 13, such as Hartwell fasteners, may be lifted, using fingers to raise the plunger in the fastener, permitting the removal of the AMD 10 from its mounting base 14. A new AMD may then be installed in a reverse procedure.
