Abstract

This mechanism will pick up two circuit boards simultaneously and insert one into a tester and one into an output rack. The mechanism has two arms 10 and 12 arranged at 90Πto each other. Pneumatically driven clips 14 at the end of the arms grasp one board from the input station and one from the test station. The two arms are then rotated 90Πby pneumatic drive 16 so that the board 18 from the test station is placed over the input pallet 20 at the test station while the board 22 from the test station is placed over the output station 24. The pneumatic actuators 26 on the arms spread the clips 14 so that the boards are released on their respective stations 20 and 24. Thereafter, the empty arms are rotated by pneumatic motor 16 back to their starting position so that they are ready to move another two boards.

Simultaneous Dual Pick and Place Robot (Air Driven)

This mechanism will pick up two circuit boards simultaneously and insert one into a tester and one into an output rack. The mechanism has two arms 10 and 12 arranged at 90OE to each other. Pneumatically driven clips 14 at the end of the arms grasp one board from the input station and one from the test station. The two arms are then rotated 90OE by pneumatic drive 16 so that the board 18 from the test station is placed over the input pallet 20 at the test station while the board 22 from the test station is placed over the output station 24. The pneumatic actuators 26 on the arms spread the clips 14 so that the boards are released on their respective stations 20 and 24. Thereafter, the empty arms are rotated by pneumatic motor 16 back to their starting position so that they are ready to move another two boards.
