Abstract

This article relates to a copier machine with a document feeding device, the capability of copying on both sides of copy paper (duplex function), and the capability of interrupting job one to run job two. When job one is using the duplex function, certain copies may be present in the copier with only a side one printed thereon at the time of interruption. This article provides alternative implementations of handling such an interrupt: (1) The interrupt is allowed immediately and job two is not allowed the use of the duplex function. (2) The interrupt is delayed until side two of the job one copies have been completed. See the preceding article for a third alternative.
