Abstract

An angled tip on electric probe 10 permits the metallic case 12 of the probe to be used as a ground contact. The spring-loaded signal contact 16 is off centered in the insulator 20 in the casing to permit spacing between the ground and signal contacts for probing the circuit board pads 18 while at the same time maintaining small overall probe diameter and desired probe characteristic impedance.
