Magnetically Coupled Three Junction Injection Device

Magnetically coupling the inputs to a three-junction injection device can increase the margins.

The figure is an electrical diagram of a 1-3-1 injection device with the inputs magnetically coupled to the device.

The value of the mutual inductance L(m) is such that when just one current, I(A) or I(B), is present, there is very little phase drop across the inductor L. This condition gives L(m)=L/(m + 2), where M is the number of center junctions.
