Abstract

Removable protective pad assembly 10 (Fig. 1) for forklift truck 30 (Fig. 2) includes a rectangular frame 11 open at end 12 and closed at end 13 with a hole 14 in end 13 for receiving pin 21 projecting from the upper end of fork 25 of forklift truck 30. A protective pad 16 is bonded to face 15 of frame member 11.

Removable Protective Pad

Removable protective pad assembly 10 (Fig. 1) for forklift truck 30 (Fig. 2) includes a rectangular frame 11 open at end 12 and closed at end 13 with a hole 14 in end 13 for receiving pin 21 projecting from the upper end of fork 25 of forklift truck 30. A protective pad 16 is bonded to face 15 of frame member 11.

When forklift truck 30 is used to move finished articles such as machines, etc., with painted surfaces, protective pad assemblies 10 are slipped onto forks 25 so as to eliminate damage caused by backrest 22 of fork 25. When forklift truck 30 is to move articles on pallets, the protective pad assemblies 10 are removed by simply moving the assembly 10 vertically upward whereby hole 14 disengages from pin 21.
