Abstract

A colored image from document 10 is projected by single lens 11 onto three parallel linear arrays of photodetectors 12, 13 and 14, each filtered by a different color-absorbing layer. The linear arrays, thus, at any one time, are exposed to color components of different scan lines from document 10. Delay circuits 15 and 16 cause the images collected by arrays 12 and 13, relating to the scan line currently detected by array 14, to be presented simultaneously therewith to utilization device 17.
