Abstract

The lift-locking mechanism described herein lifts a space transformer up against a stop, seating the space transformer in a home position. Referring to Fig. 1, space transformer 1 sits upon rods 2. Rods 2 position space transformer 1 over lifting pins 6 which are located on fixed bar 3. Space transformer 1 is lifted upwards in the Y direction by actuating lifting bars 4. Space transformer 1 is guided into position by frame dowels (not shown) that enter holes 5. Figs. 2-4 show the lifting sequence. Fig. 2 shows the unload position. Fig. 3 shows lifting taking place (lifting can be fast or slow depending on the angle at this position). Fig. 4 shows the final position.
