Abstract

Fans used to cool electronic components commonly include a housing 1 in which an impeller rotates. Such fans can be easily mounted on a chassis 2 by means of a mounting ring. A first groove 4 accommodates the chassis, and a second groove 5 accommodates the lower flange on housing 1. The mounting ring is molded from chloroprene-rubber ASTM 02000 Type BC.
