Abstract

The disclosed driver circuit is an open collector type capable of supplying up to a predetermined output current in the down level while maintaining a predetermined output voltage level. Diodes D1, D2 and D3 are included in the base circuit of input transistor T1 to establish the desired DC noise tolerance. When input A is at a 1 level, the base voltage of T1 is clamped such that T1 cannot conduct. Resistor R6 will supply base current to T2 turning T3, T4, T5 and T6 on through resistors R1, R2, R3 and R4 which are used to prevent current hogging. When input A drops to a 0 level, T1 will conduct, turning off T2 and causing T3, T4, T5 and T6 to turn off.
