Cooling Unit for Rack-Mounted Cabinets

When rack-mounted cabinets containing electronic components are stacked one above the other, each cabinet must be cooled by an associated cooling unit that forces air into it.

An improvement in the cooling of a cabinet, eg A or B, is obtained by extracting the air from this cabinet rather than blowing the air into it.

Each unit is modified by means of a metal plate MP. Fresh air for cabinet B enters unit 1 through grid G, and after it is warmed in cabinet B, it is extracted from the cabinet by blower BL of next cooling unit 2.
