Anti-Coning Fix for Sandpiper Ribbon

There is shown and described a ribbon cartridge including an anti-coning disk for preventing ribbon binding and breakage on the take-up reel.

Fig. 1 shows the inside of the top portion of the ribbon cartridge cover 1. The design includes ribs 2 to prevent the ribbon from coning upwardly as it is wound on take-up reel 4. Disk 6 is provided to prevent ribbon coning and breaking. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional schematic view of the cartridge 1 showing take-up reel 4, the friction disk 6 and ribs 2.
