Abstract

Bezel 10 is attached to the face of cathode ray tube (CRT) 20 (Fig. 1) by suitable fastening means such as screws 11. Bezel 10 flexes to conform to the radius of CRT 20. The subassembly, consisting of the bezel 10 and CRT 20 is slid downwardly into an open-ended molded bottom cover 30 (Fig. 2). Bezel 10 has a circumferential rib 12 (Figs. 2 and 4) which is received by groove 31 in bottom cover 30. Tapered tabs 13 projecting from the sides of bezel 10 (Figs. 1 and 5) are received by slots 32 in bottom cover 30. Top cover 40 is slid from the top over the assembly, as in Fig. 3. Covers 30 and 40 have overlapping ribs 33 and 43, respectively, which interlock as in Fig. 6. Top cover 40 is slid from the top over the assembly, as in Fig. 3.

Covers 30 and 40 have overlapping ribs 33 and 43, respectively, which interlock as in Fig. 6. The bottom cover 30 has two snap latches 35 which are received by slots 45 in top cover 40, as seen in Figs. 3 and 7. Molded cap 50 (Fig. 3) snaps onto the assembled covers 30 and 40 to hold them together and hide tabs 13 and slots 32. Screw 55 secures cap 50 in place.
