Abstract

The circuit shown in the figure will be able to sense four different voltage levels in the array, namely the voltage when there is no device present, V(NO), a PN junction diode, V(PN), a high barrier Schottky diode, V(HB), and a low barrier Schottky diode, V(LB). The reference voltages generated are such that (SEE ORIGINAL) p.5652.

Sense Amplifier For Double Density Array

The circuit shown in the figure will be able to sense four different voltage levels in the array, namely the voltage when there is no device present, V(NO), a PN junction diode, V(PN), a high barrier Schottky diode, V(HB), and a low barrier Schottky diode, V(LB). The reference voltages generated are such that (SEE ORIGINAL) p.5652.

In conclusion, all four different voltage levels can be unambiguously defined as follows: V OUT 1 OUT 2

sense

V(NO) 1 1

V(PN) 1 0

V(HB) 0 0

V(LB) 0 1

Tracking between devices 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 7 and 8 9 10 and 11, 12 and 13 are important. Furthermore, tracking between the reference voltages VR1, VR2, VR3 and the array diodes improves the function of the circuit.
