Mount for Dynamic Convergence Unit

The dynamic convergence unit for an in-line color cathode ray tube includes a mount, consisting of two identical halves, which permits the unit to be fixed on the CRT between its yoke and its static convergence unit.

As shown in the drawing, two E-cores 1 are mounted in identical molded plastic supports 2. Coils 3 on E-cores 1 are wired to plugs 5 fitted to supports 2. Supports 2 are such as to hold the pole-pieces of E-cores 1 onto neck 4 of the CRT. Each support 1 extends over 180 degrees of the neck 4 circumference and includes mating male and female clips 6 and 7 so that the two supports can be clipped together around the CRT neck 4 in alignment with the CRT gun assembly. The supports 1 can be readily adapted to different types of E-cores.
