Computer Work Station

This article discloses a computer terminal work station which is adapted to satisfy all human engineering problems associated with a computer work station.

As shown in the figure, the work station is provided with a right pedestal 10 and left pedestal 11, each of which carries at its top a U shaped channel 12. Each pedestal is separated from the other by a back 14 also carrying a U-shaped channel 15. A reversible top 16 having different length extended arms 17 and 18 is maintained in the channels. This top 16 is reversible so that the longer extended arm 18 can be transferred to the left and the shorter extended arm 17 to the right. By providing the larger extended arm to the right or to the left, the unit can be made adaptable to right- and left-handed personnel. The top should be approximately 26 1/2 "high and 60" wide to provide room for a terminal, a keyboard and other necessary implements.

If desired, shelves can be hung on each pedestal to support necessary manuals.
