Abstract

Plastic foil 1 has a recess 2 in whose area the record carrier and thee ink cloth (both not shown) may contact each other. At the bottom edge, plastic foil 1 is connected to bar 3 which is to be inserted into guide groove 4 of the printer. The inserted plastic foil 1 is supported by a protective shield 6 fixed to part 5 and extending beyond groove 4. A snap element 7 serves to horizontally fix the plastic foil.

Rapidly Exchangeable Wear Resistant Plastic Foil in Printers for Separating the Record Carrier from the Ink Cloth

After snap element 7 has been released, plastic foil 1 can be removed from the printer by pulling bar 3 in the arrow-marked direction.

Foil 1 and bar 3 can be produced in one piece and be made of plastic.

It is also possible to insert plastic foil 1 behind protective shield 6 and to position and arrest these parts by suitably shaping them (utilizing, for example, the resilience of the protective shield and providing openings in the printer frame (not shown) end the foil).
